David John Maynier

Mr Maynier is a Shadow Minister of Defence and Military Veterans for the Democratic Alliance. After matriculating in 1986, he completed his 'national service' as a submarine officer and navy diver in the South African Navy in 1989. In 1996 he graduated from the University of Cape Town with honours, where he majored in politics and economics. In 2008, David graduated with a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. After returning home, Mr Maynier appointed as campaign manager in the Western Cape where the party won an outright majority. He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2009.
